The Cygnus is a shallow-water gas field located in the southern North Sea, the single biggest producing gas field in the United Kingdom (UK). The offshore field can supply up to 250 million cubic feet (mcf) of gas a day accounting for approximately 6% of the UK’s total gas needs.
We provided expertise to support the programme development and execution specific to corporate planning and controls for the Cygnus Alpha complex comprises three bridge-connected platforms, including a wellhead platform, a processing and utilities platform, and a living quarters and central control room platform. Cygnus Bravo is an unmanned satellite wellhead platform tied-back to Cygnus Alpha’s processing platform.
We successfully worked with GDF Suez E&P International in 2014/15 (Now own by Neptune Energy), to provide a solution-based programme to achieve a corporate investment benefit.
A well-structured programme and project control systems gives better credence to the management of multi project portfolios and project execution prioritization. We helped to maximize control on project budget and costs by applying solution driven project management best practices and improved visibility of project performance and visualized the project KPIs into dashboards for management decisions.
